Birdie lore

Birdie is a child of the chthonic Etruscan deities Vanth (hence the wings) and Orcus (hence the demon-y underworld-y bits). Your favorite half-demon bird has been loosed on humanity to spread (slightly morbid and melancholy) mischief as a psychopomp who lives in an underground cave leading into the Underworld and guides souls to the afterlife. Or... you know, streams on Twitch!

A release from Future Friends Games and Toadzillart, Whimside is a bottom of screen desktop companion for those long work days where you simply need a little pick-me-up. With its adorable collectable creatures, Whimside surely has something that appeals to all sorts of idle game lovers.As for what I personally enjoyed about the game, I really appreciated that the game effectively plays itself! All you really have to do is pop up the game in the bottom of your screen and the whimlings will play and explore on their own. Additionally, I enjoyed being able to mix and match the characteristics of my whimlings through the breeding process. It makes it very easy to produce your perfect whimling!On the other hand, I wish the game was easier to connect to Twitch. I would love to be able to stream with Whimside running along the bottom of my stream, similar to the way many creators use Stream Avatars, but I could never get the game to cooperate with OBS and therefore couldn't stream it.Overall: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
